What is your opinion on the possibility of porting a game such as this to a console platform such as the Xbox 360? Now that EA's Battle for Middle Earth II has received so much praise as the first successful RTS port for the Xbox 360, could we see Fury ported in a similar fashion? Perhaps publishers will be more willing to support ports of popular MMOs and RPGs now.

A console port is always a possibility and it’s something that I’ve been asked before. Right now we are focused entirely on PCs.



You've said many times that Fury is an incredibly fun game to play, even for hardcore RPGers. What was the reaction like at E3, and what sorts of negative feedback have you received from the public or the press?

The reaction at E3 was great. Going in we knew Fury was a great game, however, there’s always some doubt. Once we had the game setup and people playing, we knew we had a hit.

There were a few guys who were working at other booths and kept coming back to play whenever they were on break. If you want to see how psyched some of them were, check out the E3 videos we have on the UnleashTheFury.com website.

We haven’t really gotten much in the way of negative feedback except to be overlooked by public and press who haven’t gotten around to checking us out yet.

What do you like most, and least about the design of Fury?

My big loves with the game are the instant action elements and being able to pick up and play for as long or as short as I want. Since all the game types have fixed lengths, it’s possible to pop in over lunch and play a game or two of Bloodbath. You don’t have to worry about your quick fix dragging on for 3 hours like you do in a WoW Battleground.

My other love about Fury is the competitive aspect. Personally, the two things I look for and love in a game are competition and persistence. It really doesn’t matter what the genre is: FPS, RTS, MMO, whatever. A game will catch my eye as long as I can compete against other players and that I have some sort of persistence.



With Fury I really get the best of all worlds. I have a single avatar who can switch between an unlimited number of incarnations. I also get serious fast paced PVP where I can compete against other players and all my advancement, achievements and victories are recorded permanently.

As far as dislikes, I don’t have any majors at this point. I have a number of minor ones like aspects of the UI that are clunky, or wanting to make tweaks to the Bloodbath game type since it isn’t as fun as I want it to be. However, since all my current dislikes are minor, I’m not concerned. We’re just about to finish our current development phase, and then we can start seriously focusing on specific game elements to polish them and make them a lot more fun.
