The Ultimate Wii Shopping List

Casual Wii Fan

So you have the Wii Console and Zelda already in your shopping cart, but you see that you still have a good amount of money still left in your wallet. Being the casual Wii fan that you are, you decide to pick up a few more items for your Wii collection. Here’s what we recommend.

1. ExciteTruck
Price: $49.99

ExciteTruck really took everyone by surprise with its showing at E3 and then at the NYC Wii Event. The game looks absolutely beautiful with a sense of speed that is only rivaled by the later Burnout games and a few futuristic racing titles. With its unique control scheme, fun gameplay mechanics, and absolutely humongous jumps, ExciteTruck looks to be one of the most promising games out of all of the Wii launch titles

2. Red Steel
Price: $49.99

Ubisoft’s Japanese themed first person shooter is probably one of the most talked about Wii titles coming up at launch, and with good reason. Along with providing all the standard run and gun elements that FPS’s are known for, it also throws in a unique sword fighting mechanic that allows for intense sword fights that will have you swinging your Wiimote like a samurai and using the nunchaku to parry your opponent’s strikes.

3. Extra Wiimote
Price: $39.99

Unless all of your friends own a Wii just like you, you are definitely going to need an extra Wiimote to enjoy Wii Sports, ExciteTruck, and Red Steel (provided you have an extra nunchaku as well,) to their fullest potential.

4. Extra Nunchaku
Price: $19.99

Unfortunately the Wiimote and the nunchaku aren’t bundled together outside of the actual console bundle. With the extra nunchaku controller, the doors to multiplayer gaming for Red Steel, Madden, Call of Duty 3, and many others swing wide open.

Total Price: (Includes everything in the Budget Gamer Package)
$459.94
