Super-computers will be used by the US Army for their high-end gaming services running America's Army: Operations.

Super Computer Inc, the world’s fastest growing game hosting solution, today announced it is working with the U.S. Army to provide it with supercomputers and high-end gaming services for running the America’s Army: Operations online computer game.

In addition, SCI has set up the www.GoAmericasArmy.com rental program for the gaming community to rent their own servers running on state-of-the-art high performance computing technology.

With GoAmericasArmy.com, the gaming community may rent their own servers to run America’s Army: Operations in the fastest game server environment with the highest bandwidth available in the world.

All servers rented through www.GoAmericasArmy.com run on a high-performance clustered supercomputer using cutting-edge server control and management technology.

“GoAmericasArmy.com was specifically designed to come with automated control features for the users, where the users can perform all the functions that would give full control over his/her rented server.

Some of the features include the ability to restart the server, remotely control the server, add additional users to admin the server, change profiles, and view the account information,” said Jay Majumdar, vice president of Sales for SCI.

Since the America’s Army: Operations game debuted on July 4th it has been one of the most popular games online. The Army has recorded more than 1.2 million registered user accounts with more than 740,000 players completing basic training.

Gamers have played more than 52 million missions and the average number of completed missions per day is 450,000. The game has received accolades from the gaming and national press and was recently awarded Computer Gaming World’s Editor’s Choice award.
