Finally, after no action from Microsoft, it appears we will soon have a keyboard and mouse adapter for the 360!
If you're one of the thousands of gamers who bought the SmartJoy FRAG for the original Xbox and never looked back, you'll know that using a keyboard and mouse for first-person shooters is a far superior and much more enjoyable way of playing.
Now it seems that despite Microsoft ignoring our pleas for an official keyboard and mouse adaptor for the 360, some obscure third party hardware manufacturer has come up with what looks like a nicely produced alternative. The adapter not only adds support for a PS/2 (the connector type) keyboard and mouse, but it also adds support for the PS2's dual shock controller, along with turbo fire switches for all Xbox 360 controller buttons.
I'd trade in my analog sticks for a mouse in a second. Wouldn't you? Imagine how much more fun Gears of War would be! Granted, this may not be a viable option for those who play their 360 on the couch, but many gamers run their 360 through their PC LCD (Dell's 24 inch widescreen is especially spectacular), and for those gamers this is just what the doctor ordered.
