Site claims it is 100% official, then asks readers, "Should you take it as a grain of salt or not?".
The source of this latest rumor is GamersReports.com. In a recent news story, they claim, with no evidence whatsoever, that their "inside source" at Microsoft Australia has told retailer Myer to prepare the store for a Black 360 with a 120GB hard drive in April.
The story goes on to claim that the console will also include HDMI and will cost AU$749.
Bad grammar and spelling aside, their story offers no evidence to supports the claims, leading us to believe it is little more than an attempt to attract a short burst of traffic.
In fact, the story itself plays down it's own bold claims. Despite announcing earlier in the story that the rumor is "100% official", the site then finishes off the piece by asking readers, and I quote, "Should you take it as a grain of salt or not, whats your thoughts?".
At this stage, it's safe to assume the mentioned pictures they got all excited about were the same black dev kit Xbox 360 pics that have been circulating on the net for the past year.
We'll update you if and when any further developments occur regarding this rumor.
