It seems as though MTV-owned Harmonix like the Wii. They even share a similar philosophy to Nintendo. They did after all develop a similar type of peripheral in a sense that it enabled you to engage with the game on a higher level then ever before:

“I actually think that there are similarities to what we did with Guitar Hero. Nobody who picked up Guitar Hero for the first time had an advantage over anyone else," said Harmonix Producer, Daniel Sussman in an interview with Gamasutra.

Naturally, the interview turned to whether we’d be seeing a music game on the Wii, to which COO Mike Dornbrook said:

"We're excited about the Wii. I think you can expect to see something come up at some point. When we first saw the announcement of the Wii, we were impressed that Nintendo was willing to take that kind of a risk that obviously could really pay off for them."

We really hope Harmonix take up the Wii challenge. We'd bet our bottom pound that it will be Guitar Hero on the Wii.
