Unfortunately for Star Wars fans, Lucasarts have confirmed that the upcoming release of The Force Unleashed will not be the Wiimote-powered lightsaber game that many Nintendo fans have been clamoring for. The Force Unleashed will, in fact, not even see the light of day on the Big N's console, disappointing many gamers. When asked about the possibility of The Force Unleashed being ported to the Wii, a Lucasarts rep said,

"Even if that version does happen, it probably wouldn't be 'the lightsaber game' that gamers have eagerly been awaiting."

Don't panic just yet! He didn't say the lightsaber game would never happen. However, we do know that this latest Star Wars game won't be it. Perhaps we'll see something at E3 or PAX this year.
