Nintendo Wii Gets Warp Zone Feature

A free new feature provides gamers with historical goodness!

Nintendo have recently updated the Virtual Console for UK Wii’s, the new feature known as the ‘Warp Zone’ allows gamers to tap into a vast (well currently not so vast, but its still early days yet) bank of historic knowledge about both Nintendo and their previous releases!

All you have to do to check the system out for yourself is to head over the Virtual Console channel and make sure you have the latest system update installed. When you’re inside you should be greeted with a small smiley face icon on the front page that when clicked, will whisk you away the “secret” new feature.

Once you have done so you will be greeted by the following message: "Welcome to the Warp Zone! ... Congratulations, you've discovered the Virtual Console's hidden area. This is your secret doorway into another dimension; a portal into the past, if you will."

The current selection of knowledge is a tad limited but given some time we have no doubt Nintendo will be filling the ‘Warp Zone’ to its brim with cool tidbits and nostalgic information that you won’t be able to find anywhere else!

Whilst its not the biggest revelation in the industry it is a very nice feature that Nintendo are offering at no extra cost, and we never could turn down a free gift!
