We can finally put all those rumors to rest! Today, Game Informer magazine broke official news that the black Xbox 360 is indeed coming. Here are the confirmed details:

• It's called Xbox 360 Elite, and will be a limited production run sold alongside the existing Core and Premium versions. 
  
  
• HDMI output (also comes with HDMI cable).
  
  
• 120GB Hard Drive (available seperately for under US$200 for those with Core or Premium Xbox 360s).
  
  
• Case, controller and headset will be all black. 
  
  
• US$479 price.
  
  
• Release set for late April, 2007.
  
  
• After all Elites are sold, the Premium consoles will then include the 120GB hard drive and HDMI port.
  
  
• Elite will run cooler, but it has not been confirmed if this is because it will use the 65nm chip.
  
  
• It is estimated that 120GB / HDMI will become standard for Premiums around the end of Summer/Fall of 2007 in the U.S. Prices should remain the same at that point (US$399).
