No Games Found in Shooter's Dorm at Virginia Tech

Not a single video game found.

Just after the shooting, Dr. Phil and religious anti-game crusader Jack Thompson were all-too-quick to point the finger at video games as being somehow at blame. We can now confirm that not a single video game was found in the dorm room of the killer. Of course, even if they found a huge collection of games, that would hardly prove it was the cause, assuming there is a cause, for the killings.

Here's what they did find:

  • Chain from top left closet shelf
  • Folding knife & combination padlock
  • Compaq computer from desktop
  • Assorted documents, notepads, writings from desktop
  • Combination lock
  • Dremel tool and case
  • Nine books, two notebooks, envelopes, from top shelf
  • Assorted books & pads from lower shelf
  • Compact discs from desktops
  • Items from desktop & drawers: winchester multi tool, 3 notebooks, mail, checks, credit card
  • Items from 2nd door: Kodak digital camera, Citibank statement
  • Two cases of compact discs from dresser top
  • Drive: Seagate: 80 Gb
  • Six sheets of green computer paper
  • Mirror with blue plastic housing
  • Dremel tool box with receipt
  • Dell Latitude service tag

There you have it, no video games at all. Also, according to Cho Seung Hui's roommates, the man never even played video games during his rare appearances in the common living area in the dorm.
