Capcom announces the closure of its subsidiary company, Flagship.
Capcom has confirmed that it will be closing its subsidiary studios Flagship, as the publisher and developer continues to focus on streamlining its operations.
Established in 1997, Flagship are perhaps best known for working on most of the company’s portable outings, including collaborating with Nintendo for The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, A Link To The Past and Four Sword for Gameboy Advance. Other works include Gameboy Zelda titles Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages.
In addition to this, Flagship are also noted for their work on scenarios for Capcom’s Resident Evil titles including Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil: Zero. Its most recent offering was the Nintendo DS title, Kirby Squeak Squad.
No redundancies have been made, and, as reported by Gamespot, all staff will simply be moved into Capcom itself.
