PS3 $100 Price Cut Hits July 15

Home : News : News Story

This week's Circuit City promotional sales flyer may have given away one of Sony's E3 secrets.

The Circuit City flyer for the week of July 15th lists a PS3 price drop of US$100. The PS3 will sell for US$499, and since July 15th is the week after E3 we can only assume this is the price drop many have been speculating that Sony will announce at the expo.

Good news, for sure, but is it enough to pursuade the masses to drop half a grand on a PS3? That will depend on the games Sony reveal next week.

Update: Gamedaily has reported that other retailers are confirming the price drop.
