Recent online retailers have been listing the title at around $200, but EA insist that such figures are “pure speculation.”
Yesterday we reported that Amazon is currently listing Electronic Arts’ upcoming music title, Rock Band for the rather large sum of $199.99.
However, Eurogamer recently contacted EA for a comment on the price (which has also appeared on other retailer’s websites, such as GameStop) to which they responded that such listings are “pure speculation."
The spokesperson was unable to confirm or deny the figure, but for the time being it seems that Amazon and co. are indeed using the number as a placeholder figure until official confirmation arrives.
