A reader on the Nintendo World Report forums has taken photographs of the latest Wii Remote strap reincarnation, showing that it now features a lockable clip for added safety and security.

“This new model would be the fourth incarnation of the strap; the first was the original model which tended to break, the second would be the replacement straps with the thicker connector to the remote, and the third was the replacement of the replacement that lacked the Nintendo and Wii branding.”

You can see a picture of the new strap above this article. At the time of writing Nintendo have yet to officially announce the availability of the new design, but we expect more will start popping up soon enough.
