Sega has unleashed a new CGI trailer from its upcoming sports title which features both characters for the first time.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is the first ever (official) video game to feature both Nintendo and Sega’s key mascots in one place, and it’s coming to the Wii and DS later this year.

The premise of the game is simple; Mario and Sonic (as well as a host of other characters from both sides) battle it out at the 2008 Olympic Games in a series of motion/touch screen-dependant mini-games.

Sega has just release a new extended CGI trailer which you can watch right now using the embdedded video player below.
