Stargate Worlds Scheduled For Q4 2008

Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment confirms that the game is still on track for a late-2008 release.

Stargate Worlds is an upcoming massively-multiplayer online role-playing game Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment. It is based on the popular television series’ Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.

MMO-dedicated website TenTonHammer.com recently spoke to the company’s senior marketing manager, Kevin Balentine to discuss a timetable for the game’s release.

"We've got a playable version of the game inside of our building. I'm not prepared to release our beta schedule yet, but I can say that we're going to be releasing the game in the fourth quarter of next year. You can do the math and figure out when our beta program will be."

Stargate SG-1 may have finished, but with it sister show Atlantis still going strong, two straight-to-DVD movies on the way, a third series in the planning stages and Stargate Worlds making steady progress, it seems that 2008 is going to be quite a year for Gate-fans everywhere!
