Shinji Hatano reveals that Virtual Console sales have earned Nintendo around $33 million.
Whilst Nintendo has been hesitant to reveal Virtual Console sales figures in the past, it did reveal one interesting figure at a press conference in Tokyo last week.
Speaking in a Q&A sessions that followed the conference itself, Shinji Hatano responded to a question regarding the Virtual Console’s success by revealing the total revenue made since its launch.
Essentially, Nintendo has already provided more than 7.8 million game downloads, which has reportedly generated 3.5 billion yen, or around $33 million in sales.
According to IGN, a Nintendo executive followed this revelation by noting that; "we're currently unsure if this is a lot or low. They're not bad figures."
