Ikaruga is a vertical shooter which was originally developed for the arcades before being ported to the Dreamcast and eventually the Nintendo GameCube. It is currently being re-worked for a release on the Xbox Live Arcade.

Over on Inside MGC (a “behind the curtain” look at the world of Microsoft Gamer Cards), a recent post has detailed a series of achievements set to be included in the upcoming XBLA version of the game.

Examples include 'Unstoppable', which challenges players to beat the game without using any continues, and 'Dot Eater', which requires the completion of certain stages without firing any shots! You can check out the full list here.
