Akella, a Russian game developer/publisher/distributer, this week announced that it is celebrating its 15th anniversary, after forming in 1993.

“The company was started by a group of enthusiastic people who got together to develop the domestic gaming industry,” reads a recent press release.

“During the early nineties it was not easy to put together a successful company and succeed in the industry that at the time was dominated by software pirates.”
