Square Enix announces both game's imminent availability.


Square Enix today announced that Space Invaders Extreme and Arkanoid DS, reimagined versions of Space Invaders and Arkanoid respectively, have been shipped to retailers across Europe ahead of their official launch tomorrow.

Space Invaders Extreme, available for both the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS promises “revamped graphics” along with new “upbeat techno tunes that are synced to gameplay,” mini-games, co-operative play, and online rankings.

Arkanoid DS, on the other hand, promises three unique game modes, online multiplayer for up to four players, online leaderboards, and “an irresistible soundtrack produced by Zuntata.”
