Super Nintendo remake hits PAL territories on September 5.

Square Enix today confirmed that its remake of Final Fantasy IV for the Nintendo DS will launch across PAL territories such as Europe and Australia pm September 5.

“Final Fantasy IV is one of the most significant titles in the history of the Final Fantasy franchise,” says John Yamamoto, president and CEO at Square Enix.
"It has been remarkably enhanced for the Nintendo DS, making it a great opportunity for our fans to experience its deep story and ground-breaking battle system in an exciting and innovative new way”.

Originally released on the Super Nintendo, Final Fantasy IV introduced the Active Time Battle (ATB) system, which has since been utilised by almost all other entries in the Final Fantasy series.
