Electronic Arts May Pick Up Brutal Legend

In the battle between gaming titans Activision Blizzard and Electronic Arts, those anticipating Brutal Legend may be winners.

One ridiculously large video game company's trash may be another's treasure. Many gamers were anticipating Psychonauts creator Tim Schafer's latest game, Brutal Legend.

It's another unique game in the style Schafer has become famous for. In it Jack Black plays a roadie who uses rock music to battle bizarre creatures. After the new Activision Blizzard decided it would not release the game, there was much gnashing of teeth in Schafer fandom.

Now rumors are swirling that Electronic Arts may pick up the game. If EA were to make a hit out of a game that its biggest competitor left on the scrap heap, that would be firing a huge salvo in what should be a lengthy conflict.
