Vigilante 8 Arcade Finally Passes Certification Finish Line

Car-combat classic deemed ready by Microsoft.

The Xbox Live Arcade version of PlayStation One-era car combat game Vigilante 8 has finally passed Microsoft's legendarily brutal certification process.

Originally slated to be released in June, Vigilante 8 Arcade hit a development snag and got delayed until August. Then the game hit certification problems, went back to the drawing board, and is now ready to be released.

Activision's Vigilante 8 revival has no specific release date, but it will be an expanded version of the original combat-racing game. Back in the days of PSOne, Vigilante 8 was the main competitor of the Twisted Metal Games.
