Are gamers ready for the next epic fantasy RPG? We take a look at this open-ended RPG and what it has to offer.

SouthPeak Interactive has a lot going on in the summer months. Later this month they’ll be releasing Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia on both the PC and Xbox 360. Then, in June, they’ll be releasing their biggest next-generation title to date, Two Worlds. Today, the spotlight is on the latter of the two.

Tonight, we dine in Hell!

Two Worlds is an open-world RPG that promises a grand adventure. It contains several key elements that a great fantasy game should have – secret tombs to explore, ancient temples to raid, orcs to combat, and of course humans that’ll stab you in the back if you don’t pay close attention. This could potentially be the next game to steal the souls of gamers. The main quest will contain over 40 hours of gameplay. If that isn’t enough for players, the side quests bump the playing time up to 100 hours of gameplay.

Eat your heart out Tolkien.

The storyline of Two Worlds centers on a mysterious tomb that holds the deceased god of war, Aziraal. There will be a character creation tool to allow players to customize their own avatars. Players must then choose to be proficient in a specific magic type including any of the following: earth, wind, fire, water and of course, the fiddling of the dark arts, necromancy.

Traveling couldn't be any more exquisite.

The single-player character creations allow for users to choose between the two sexes, several body features and a few facial customizations. Upgrading characters is a little different than to be expected. In order to improve skills, certain tasks or missions must be completed which will provide related experience to specific skill trees. The plague of repetition will hopefully be eliminated with this new system. An example of the system working would be reading books to gain more intelligence.
