No human is safe when Pandora's Box is opened.

The developers of Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, Spark Unlimited, are ready to unleash mythical creatures on New York City and London – among other locations – within their upcoming first-person shooter, Legendary. So prepare yourself as we take a look at what they have in store for gamers later this fall.

If you’ve ever had a thing for creatures from the fantasy realm then Legendary may be right up your alley. One minute you’ll be battling werewolves while the next minute you’ll have to ready yourself to take on a giant kraken. There’s no doubt that adding these legendary creatures will sky rocket the interest gamers have for the title. Other creatures that have been confirmed include echidnas, fire drakes, harpies and salamanders.

The storyline of Legendary revolves around a man named Charles Deckard who opens Pandora’s Box and unleashes the fury within on the citizens of Earth. The story will of course follow his campaign to fix his foolish mistake as he battles griffons and minotaurs who stand in his way. Outside of those mythical creatures, he’ll run into two groups, The Council and The Black Order, which are trying to gain control over Pandora’s Box.

Multiplayer aspects are indeed incorporated within Legendary so expect a rousing time with your friends. The main multiplayer mode being talked about right now is where Legendary splits eight competitors into two teams that consist of either The Council or The Black Order that battle to harvest Animus energy from werewolves and fuse it into a machine to win the match. The winner of the match will be able to control the rest of the beasts found on the map and watch as they tear the other team to shreds.

As of right now, werewolves are the only creature set to be featured within the multiplayer modes though it would be highly intriguing to battle dozens of golems as they lumber around the four maps that are set to be included.

Lastly, for those who are afraid that it’s a straight shoot-em-up affair, Legendary will have puzzles and platforming added in to differentiate the gameplay, but don’t expect Prince of Persia-esque moments. Early reports have been that the platforming and puzzles are straightforward and overly simple to overcome.

Shipping October 21, Legendary will arrive on store shelves for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC.
