John Woo Presents Stranglehold

The best part about the game is the use of environment. Tequila can use everything, be it a cart, or a bannister, or a wall. The environment is interactive, something very rarely seen in games today. It is also destructable, so you can shoot an awning and have it come crashing down on a group of enemies. Nice.

You also get into what's called 'Standoffs' where you face a group of enemies and you have to knock them off one by one by reacting quickly. There was something like this in Red Dead Revolver but this is more refined and it fits into the context of the game pretty well.

Stranglehold isn't the best looking game out there, but it stands up very well to the competition. Cranked up all the way, the detail is nice and the game can show off a good system. It ran without a hitch on an Athlon X2 4800 with twin GeForce 7950's. I had the resolution up to 1600X1200 without a hitch.

With Chow Yun Fat playing the lead role, the voice acting is top-notch. Even the bit players do a good job. Ambient sounds and effects are also excellent. Sound is one of the best things about this game.
